Vision

The overall vision of the Federation is that it will provide the means by which all segments of the tyre industry can get together and voice an industry-wide view on all matters of mutual interest. Its members are bodies that represent companies in the different segments of the industry.

Objectives

On behalf its members the Federation will lead in:

1. formulating joint policies on issues, eg the recovery of used tyres or tyre safety, and lobby Government or regulatory authorities, such as the Environment Agency or the Health and Safety Executive on them;
2. helping the parties within the supply and recovery chains to work together to make the business more effective and efficient (eg through the development of best practice on customer complaints and improving transparency in the marketplace);
3. promoting the interests of the industry more generally to the public, public authorities, consumers, suppliers and others with an interest in the industry.
